How Can We Help?

Uninstalling the Fastcall Package

This guide walks you through the steps required to completely remove Fastcall from your Salesforce org. Whether you’re ending a trial or discontinuing use of Fastcall, following these steps will ensure a clean uninstallation without leaving behind unmanaged references or objects.

Before You Begin

Before uninstalling Fastcall, make sure to cancel any active subscription in the AppExchange. Salesforce won’t allow you to uninstall a package with an active subscription. Also consider backing up any call data or custom records you want to keep; uninstalling a managed package permanently removes its components and associated data unless you choose to export it during the uninstall process.

Fastcall Uninstallation Steps

A. Turn Off ECI (Einstein Conversation Insights), if it is currently enabled

If your org has ECI enabled and integrated with Fastcall, first disable or disconnect this setting from the Fastcall admin settings in Salesforce. This will help prevent configuration errors during uninstallation.

To remove ECI integration from Fastcall go to Fastcall Settings > Admin Settings > Call Handling > Call Recording > Storage tab and click on the Remove button.

Disabling ECI before uninstalling also avoids residual dependencies tied to call logging or AI insights.

B. Remove All Fastcall-Managed Objects

Before uninstalling the package itself, remove any custom objects, fields, workflows, or references created by Fastcall that are still active in your org. This includes:

  • Custom Fastcall objects (e.g., Call Logs, Tasks)
  • Workflow Rules or Process Builders referencing Fastcall fields
  • Permission Sets specifically tied to Fastcall

Salesforce prevents uninstalling a managed package if references to its components still exist in workflows, page layouts, or Apex code. You may need to search for dependencies manually and deactivate or delete them.

Tip: Use Salesforce’s “Where is this Used” feature to find references to Fastcall fields and objects.

C. Uninstall Fastcall from the Fastcall Settings within Salesforce

Navigate to the Fastcall settings inside Salesforce:

  1. Go to Fastcall Settings > Admin Settings > Fastcall Subscription.
  2. Open the LICENSES & BILLING tab.
  3. Locate the option to Uninstall Fastcall and click it.
  4. Confirm any prompts to deactivate features and remove configuration.

uninstall confirm

This step ensures that Fastcall’s internal configuration is turned off before the package is removed from Salesforce.

Note: Some orgs may have custom configurations or integration settings that require manual cleanup in this area.

D. Uninstall Fastcall from Salesforce (Installed Packages)

Now you can remove the Fastcall package itself:

  1. Go to Setup → Installed Packages.
  2. Find Fastcall in the list of installed packages.
  3. Click Uninstall next to Fastcall.
  4. On the uninstall confirmation screen, choose whether to save a copy of your data (export file) before deleting.
  5. Confirm by selecting Yes, I want to uninstall this package and click Uninstall.

Salesforce will begin removing all components associated with Fastcall. You’ll receive a confirmation email once the process is complete. If you chose to export your data, the email will include a link to download the export file.

After Uninstallation

After Fastcall is successfully removed:

  • Your Salesforce org will no longer contain Fastcall-specific objects, fields, or call logging components.
  • If you exported a data backup, download and store it securely before the link expires.
  • Review any automation, page layouts, or reporting that previously referenced Fastcall components and adjust accordingly.

Troubleshooting

If Salesforce blocks the uninstall due to component dependencies:

  • Check for active references in workflows or process builders.
  • Remove any profiles that include Fastcall components as default.
  • Empty the Salesforce Recycle Bin of any deleted fields or objects that remain referenced.

In rare cases, you may have to deactivate or remove permissions manually before Salesforce allows the final uninstall.

Summary Checklist

  • Export data if needed and review post-uninstall cleanup
  • Turn off ECI or integrated features
  • Remove Fastcall managed objects and references
  • Deactivate Fastcall settings within Salesforce
  • Uninstall Fastcall from Installed Packages
