Unit – Fastcall Groups

This unit explains how to manage your groups in Fastcall. By the end of it, you will be able to add, edit and remove them.

Create New Group

Navigate to Fastcall Settings > Admin Settings > Groups. Click the New Group button in the upper-right corner of the table header to create a new group.

Enter a label for the group and click Save. Optionally, you can also assign an extension and add notes to provide additional information about the group.

The ACD settings apply when transferring a live call to a Group from within the Fastcall Softphone.

Assign Users to the Group

Once the group has been created, you can start adding users to it. Navigate to the Related tab, then click Add in the upper-right corner of the Users section to add group members.

Select the available users you want to add to the group and move it to the Group members list. Click save.

From the Related tab, you can also provision phone numbers for the group, allowing it to receive and route calls based on the group’s configuration.

Fastcall Groups are used in several ways:

  • Groups can be assigned an extension
  • Phones assigned to a group are available to all users in the group; provisioned and verified phones
  • Fastcall groups receive calls in a transfer IVR
  • Auto call distribution settings (ACD) can be defined for the group
  • Users in a group can share recordings used for voicemail drop

Mass Editing Groups

By selecting multiple groups using the checkboxes, you can use the Mass Edit button in the upper-right corner to provision phone numbers and assign IVR Flows as the inbound route for all selected groups at once.

Phone Number Settings

  • Country Code

  • Toll Free

By default, Fastcall automatically assigns an available phone number that matches the provided information. If no available phone numbers are found, new phone numbers will be provisioned automatically.

Create IVR Flow

  • Configure Template

By default, Fastcall automatically assigns the Group Call Transfer + Voicemail Flow as the group’s inbound route. Click Configure Template to customize its settings.

Call Transfer

Transfers incoming calls to the selected groups and distributes them according to the configured call distribution settings:

  • Introductory Message
  • ACD Strategy
    • Round Robin
    • Simulring

Voicemail

Allows callers to leave a voicemail when no one answers the group call.

After saving your changes, each selected group will be assigned a phone number and an IVR named using the group name and the flow name.
