This unit covers how to use Fastcall’s voicemail drop feature. Your administrator will need to enable this feature for you.

Introduction

Voicemail drop is triggered by the User, it is not automatic!

Fastcall’s voicemail drop disconnects the calling User and plays a pre-recorded message. The use case is that, when the User hits a voicemail box and hears ‘the beep’, they can save time by dropping the message and getting on to a new call.

Setting the message

Voicemail drop can use any of the User’s messages. These are configured under Settings > Messages, and explained further in the unit on voicemail.

Dropping the message

When an outbound call is in progress, the voicemail drop icon will be visible both at the top of the Widget next to the mute and dial pad buttons and on the ‘actions’ tab of the Widget. When you press the icon, you will be presented with a list of messages to drop. When you choose a message, you will be disconnected from the call and, behind the scenes, the message will play.
