This unit covers how to use Fastcall’s voicemail drop feature. Your administrator will need to enable this feature for you.
VM drop is triggered by the User, it is not automatic!
Fastcall’s VM drop disconnects the calling User and plays a pre-recorded message. The use case is that, when the User hits a voicemail box and hears ‘the beep’, they can save time by dropping the message and getting on to a new call.
Setting the voicemail drop message
Voicemail drop can use any of the User’s messages. These are configured under Settings > Messages and explained further in this unit.
Dropping the message
When an outbound call is in progress, the VM drop icon will be visible at the bottom of the Widget on the ‘Actions’ footer. When you press the icon, you will be presented with a list of messages to drop. You can also filter the list by tags.
When you choose a message, you will be disconnected from the call, and, behind the scenes, the message will play.
