The Fastcall voicemail drop is an awesome sales productivity tool and works great in combination with dial by list and sales console.
- Pick your pre-recorded voicemail
- Listen for the tone
- Then drop from the call
- The name of the message is used as the call result
- Recorded messages can be assigned to a single user, or a group of users
- Messages are recorded in Fastcall under recorded messages
In the image below the vm drop option is show in the widget above the subject box and notes.
In this image we show the voicemail drop option in the widget sidebar.
NOTE: Timing is important. If you know you are going to leave a message, you want to be ready to select the message at the moment you hear the beep.
When the voicemail drop is used, Fastcall will use the title of the voicemail as your call result.
FASTCALL HUMAN-ASSISTED VOICEMAIL DROP
Fastcall calls our method “human-assisted” answering machine detection. The user must listen for the call to be answered by the machine or voicemail, and listen for the beep. At the sound of the beep, you drop the message. When the voicemail is dropped, the third leg of the call is introduced, and the user is dropped out of the conf. You do not need to hold on after you drop the message. There are automated phone applications that use answering machine detection, and Twilio offers this using a command “if machine.” Problem with automated detection is that there is a slight delay when a call is answered. And automated detection is not very accurate.
