Introduction
Explore our latest update, Fastcall Version 8.88, where we’ve fixed various bugs, and added exciting new features to enhance your experience. Following, we present some of these changes.
Conversations – New UI/UX
We’ve launched a streamlined, intuitive interface for starting new Conversations and Group Messaging for Business more easily.
To create a new Conversation or Group Chat in the softphone, follow these steps:
Conversation with one participant:
- Open the Softphone.
- Create a New Conversation with any Record/Phone Number.
- Click Start Conversation button.
- Write a message and send it.
Conversation or Group Chat with 2 or more participants:
- Open the Softphone.
- Create a New Conversation with any Record/Phone Number.
- Click add participant button.
- Add participants by selecting one of the following options: choose from existing records or dial a phone number manually.
- Click Start Conversation button.
- Write a message and send it to the group.


This new UI makes it easier to start new Conversation or Group Messaging for Business.

Recordings – Migration to Google Cloud Storage
You can now seamlessly transfer call recordings from Twilio to a Google Cloud Storage bucket. When this feature is enabled, a new tab appears in the Call Recordings settings, allowing the system to automatically copy recordings to your specified Google Cloud Storage bucket.
In a previous update, we introduced the ability to migrate recordings to an AWS S3 bucket. Now, you can also export them to Google Cloud Storage. Additionally, we’ve moved the Einstein Conversation Insights storage settings to the same Storage tab within the Call Recording settings for better organization.

By default, all call recordings are stored in Twilio, but this feature lets users automatically export new recordings and delete exported recordings from Twilio, storing them in a designated AWS S3 bucket, Google Cloud Storage bucket, or Einstein Conversation Insights. You can also export historical recordings created before enabling this setting. The storage provider can be changed anytime in the Storage tab under Call Recording Settings.
