Release Note 885

Introduction

Explore our latest update, Fastcall Version 8.85, where we’ve fixed various bugs, and added exciting new features to enhance your experience. Following, we present some of these changes.

Group Messaging for Business

Group Messaging is often associated with casual chats among friends or family, but it’s increasingly being recognized as a valuable tool for businesses. While this might not have been common practice a few years ago, Group Messaging for Business is rapidly gaining popularity.

SMS is already a powerful way to engage with customers, but there are times when two-way communication isn’t enough. What if you need to involve a third person—or even a fourth? Should you switch to a messaging platform like WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger, or transition to an email thread?

With Group Messaging, there’s no need to shift away from traditional text messaging. MMS Group Messaging allows seamless communication among three or more participants via text. Each participant has a distinct phone number and can read and reply to messages shared with the entire group.

What is Group Messaging for Business?

Group Messaging enables businesses to reach broader audiences with just one click. It also streamlines communication, making it easier to connect with both employees and customers. No matter the size of your business, Group Messaging can offer significant advantages.

Now is the perfect time to incorporate Group Messaging into your marketing strategy. This powerful tool can help your business stay competitive in a variety of ways.

How does it work?

MMS Group Conversations differ from mass texts. Group Messaging works a lot like the group chats found on popular apps for group messaging, such as Slack, WhatsApp, or iMessage. Every recipient can read all the correspondence in the group, and when they respond, everyone sees it.

The Fastcall Group Messaging for Business tool, allows you to bring in parties from multiple channels. For example, you could have a group MMS conversation between one Fastcall user and 2 or more external participants using a messaging application.

This functionality enables users to integrate Group Messaging into applications and workflows. For example, it can be used to incorporate group messaging into customer relationship management (CRM) software, allowing customers and employees to start group messaging conversations directly from a chat window instead of relying on their mobile devices.

Note: This functionality is only compatible with phone numbers based in the US and Canada. Phone numbers from other countries will still work but will be limited to traditional SMS functionality.
