You can enter notes while on the call. These notes will be stored on the Task record and can optionally be copied to the Salesforce “Comments” field.
- Click the pencil icon that appears when you place a call. A small text box will be displayed.
- Enter your notes in the text box. When you finish the call by clicking the Hang button and picking a disposition, these notes will be stored on the Call Notes field of the Task record.
- If not already present, you should add the Call Notes field to the Activity History related list. Read the Install Guide for more details. Fastcall “notes” are a short text field and can be included on the Related List. By default, Fastcall copies Notes to the Salesforce-native Comments (a long text field.) Under Fastcall Settings you can select not to copy notes if you do not wish the Comments field to be populated.
