Adding Notes While on Call

You can enter notes while on the call. These notes will be stored on the Task record and can optionally be copied to the Salesforce “Comments” field.

  1. Click the pencil icon that appears when you place a call. A small text box will be displayed. Screen Shot 2016-07-09 at 3.23.28 PM
  2. Enter your notes in the text box. When you finish the call by clicking the Hang button and picking a disposition, these notes will be stored on the Call Notes field of the Task record. Screen Shot 2016-07-09 at 3.24.04 PM
  3. If not already present, you should add the Call Notes field to the Activity History related list. Read the Install Guide for more details. Fastcall “notes” are a short text field and can be included on the Related List. By default, Fastcall copies Notes to the Salesforce-native Comments (a long text field.) Under Fastcall Settings you can select not to copy notes if you do not wish the Comments field to be populated.
